Here’s an ask i don’t mind answering publicly in case anyone else is curious or what not. 

I got my prints done at fireball printing this year, another online printer i’ve heard good things about is catprint. Finni has more recommendations as well, and she seems to know something about FB not having good service recently? I got my prints way earlier in the year so i cannot attest or deny that.

I do also recommend you check out local printers if you live the city, they are often cheap and you can get a sample print on the spot, or next/later in the day which is better than waiting for proofs by mail and hoping they come out ok. If I were still in san francisco or berkeley i would very much prefer to go local, but not to chains like walmart or kinkos (unless you’re in a pinch!) cause they do tend to cost way more.

I’ve also tried costco photo printing, which results in really great photo paper prints, but they’re super super super expensive so I only get 4x6” prints from them, where they are quite cheap if you have a membership. 

I hope that answers your questions! And just as a last note, nothing is ever secret! Artists should help each other out cause we’re all in the same boat and imo it’s kind of shitty to purposefully keep things from each other. We’re not really in direct competition and it sort of fosters poor feelings all around when artists are sneaky and secretive. I mean.. no one should be FORCED to tell someone something, but just know that i will most likely share resources if asked about them ^_^
